Aeon’s End: Legacy – Hints & Tips for Game 6

This is one in a series of posts regarding the board game Aeon’s End: Legacy. You can access all my other posts HERE. This post contains Hints & Tips for the sixth game of the campaign, and will contain Spoilers from Games 1 through 5. You have been warned.

End of Game 5

You only fight Haze Fiend once. Win or lose, you move on to the chapter 5 conclusion after the game. And during the conclusion, you add a second ability to your player mat. Both abilities trigger when you use up the 6 charges on the bottom of your player mat.

Aeon's End: Legacy - Ability 2

Your Mage is really developing their personality, as you find combinations that work together: discarding and drawing cards, bonuses for focusing breaches, etc.

Box D

Inside the last box is pulse tokens which you add to the game.

Supply Cards from Deck V

And the last part of deck V contains the new supply cards, which all make use of the new tokens. As always, you must replace 2 in your supply, replacing like for like.

Strength of Mind

The setup for Chapter 6 is under the spoiler tags below.

Aeon's End: Legacy - Chapter 6 Envelope

Chapter 6 - Strength of Mind

Inside Envelope 6 is the playmat for Deathmind, and 10 Bridge tokens. The start of deck VI has the 9 usual nemesis cards for the nemesis deck, plus a Tier 0 card, Server Link.

Game Setup

The setup for the 6th battle instructs you to make a 3 x 3 grid of the supply cards, with gems across the top, then relics, then spells, cheapest to most expensive. Then 6 of the bridge tokens are used in the spaces between the supply piles, so that each token is only between 2 piles, and there is never more than 1 bridge token between 2 piles. There is an example on the back of the nemesis mat.

Aeon's End: Legacy - Battle 6 Supply Example

You cannot buy the last card in a supply pile. The grid must remain for the game, so there is one less of each card available in this battle.

You can spend 5 aether or 4 pulse tokens to place a bridge token between any 2 piles. If you buy a card from a supply pile, that is not connected by bridge tokens to the supply pile in the top left (as in the middle right and bottom left supply piles in the example above) you take 2 damage.

Place 3 power tokens on the Server Link at the beginning of the game. Like all power tokens, you remove 1 each Nemesis turn. When you remove the last one from server link, remove a bridge token from among the supply piles (players choice) and place 3 power tokens on Server Link. The strategy of this game is about keeping access to the supply piles when you want to use them. For example, after you have enough gems, you might want to lose those bridge tokens, in order to keep the spell piles connected.

Oh, and if there are no bridge tokens in play, then Gravehold suffers 20 damage. So keep an eye on that.
