Aeon’s End: Legacy – Hints & Tips for Game 7

This is one in a series of posts regarding the board game Aeon’s End: Legacy. You can access all my other posts HERE. This post contains Hints & Tips for the seventh game of the campaign, and will contain Spoilers from Games 1 through 6. You have been warned.

End of Game 6

You get 2 chances to defeat Deathmind, and then read through the conclusion of Chapter 6. As part of that conclusion you open Insight 12, and add a second piece of equipment to your character. This fills in the final sticker space on your player mat and gives you the last chance to get some nice synergies working, and round out your character.

Supply Cards from Deck VI

As usual, the end of Deck VI has supply cards, and you must exchange 2, like for like.

The Last Stand

The set up for the last battle is under the spoiler tags below.

Chapter 7 - The Last Stand

Envelope 7 contains the player mat for Maelstrom: Risen, because your first nemesis has come back for another round. Deck VII starts with the usual 9 cards to create the nemesis deck, and a set of Tier 0 cards, called beacon cards. These are extra cards you need to deal with during your game. As you defeat them they go into their own discard, to be used again as needed.

There is also a special turn order card for Maelstrom, which replaces 1 of the ordinary nemesis turn order cards. When it gets revealed, before you take a regular nemesis turn, you deal Gravehold 1 damage for each beacon card that is in play. It’s another reason to keep the beacon cards in check.

I’ve enjoyed this series on Aeons End – Legacy. Did you ever play game 8?
