Another year has come and gone.
This is post 94, so I got further behind on my goal of averaging 1 goal every week. I’m not going to make any rash pronouncements about next year, but I’ll be doing my best to make up some ground. Of course, it is important to me that the posts are worthwhile. I don’t want to be posting just for the numbers.
I also haven’t gotten a game out there. To be honest, I had forgotten about that goal until I reread my post from 12 months ago. I had not set any time frame to achieve the smaller goals I needed to hit in order to make a game available, so there was no way it was going to happen. Again, I am not going to make any rash pronouncements, but will start planning out a time line for my Ship Wreck game.
That being said, I am almost ready to get people to start play testing Wingtip. I’ve played a few games of it myself, just to help clarify play so I can write the rules. I will have Rules version 0.1 written shortly, and there are a few people interested in playing it, so I expect some good feed back.
In February of 2018 I posted my first hints and tips post for Charterstone, Game 1. I followed up with a post for each game, and the Comprehensive Card list. These have been an obvious benefit to the community, and built the site traffic to more than 40 000 total page views.
A quarter of those have been for the card list alone. It feels good to know you have helped people playing a game.
Since those beginnings, I have added posts for Seafall and Betrayal Legacy. It will be interesting to see how the stats progress in the next 12 months for those games, and to see if Charterstone continues in its popularity.
