4th Anniversary

Another 23rd of July has rolled around, so that makes 4 years I’ve been writing this blog. This is post 206, which means 59 posts in the last 12 months. I have made up some ground, and am just 3 shy of a weekly average post. I have come back to Dragonvale in the last 12 months, and my event dragon posts have given me regular content, that has proved to be quite popular.

Wingtip is done, but it relies too much on tokens to be a decent 9 card substitute for Wingspan. The current cost is USD$33, so I’m not going to release it to the public. I’m hoping I can cut down the components, and make it markedly cheaper. The Prodigals has completed a first draft, and I will revisit it with fresh eyes in the coming year. I have also started producing custom Dividers for all the sets of Marvel Legendary, and my current focus is on having all of them available as soon as possible. A new Keyforge set is now available, so I will make up boxes for them soon as well.

Stats

I posted about Dragonvale breeding percentages in December, at the start of the Winter event, which really helped with the views. January holds the record for page views, at 7484, but February has the highest daily average, at 244 per day. The average for 2020 as a whole is 126, so this is a marked improvement. February 20th, 2021, is my most popular day so far, with 448 views.

In December the blog had its 100,000 page view, and the current total is 142,690. This is about 60,000 in total for the last 12 months, up about 150% on the 12 months previous.

Blog statistics

The Charterstone Comprehensive card list is still the top post, adding 5000 views in the last year. The Home page has really jumped up there, becoming just the second page to break the 10k mark. The Dragonvale posts garner a lot of attention when they are posted, but the information they relay has a limited shelf life. So I expect the legacy game play posts will continue to make up the top 10 of all time views.
