5th Anniversary

Saturday was the 5th Anniversary of the blog, and this is post 278. This puts me at over 55 posts a year, so I’m now averaging more than 1 a week. More than half of last years posts have been about Dragonvale, so that has helped me keep the average up.

I am roughly up to date with dividers for the Legendary expansions, and now it is just making them for the new sets as they get released. Keyforge has been languishing, but it has just been purchased by a new games company. It’s possible I’ll continue making boxes for them, when the new content arrives.

I have been working on a new MaYP game based on the dragon breeding metric of Dragonvale, and finishing this off will be my next project. I can see a definitive end to the first iteration of A Thunder of Dragons, and having an end goal is a great way to motivate the finishing of a project.

Stats

Dragonvale content is continuing to push the views. Monthly views swinging between 4500 and 7000, depending on when an event starts. Haven’t beaten last years high averages, but 2021 has an average daily view of 196, up 55% from 2020. Best ever day is now the 18th of December, 2021, with 595 page views.

Current total is 211,910. Nearly 70k views for the last 12 months, up 14% from the last year.

Blog Stats 23rd of July 2022

The Home page had the most views of the year. I think this is because my blog gets a lot of hits from people searching for the latest arrival in Dragonvale. The Charterstone Comprehensive card list is still my most popular post of the year, adding 4000 views in the last 12 months. Amazing to think it continues to have more then 10 visits each day. The first post of 3 dragon events have more than 1500 views, so that new content is popular. But as I said last year, they probably don’t have much staying power. There were a few hits for older Dragonvale posts, with people searching for breeding hints. But with the arrival of new dragons, that info is a little out of date.

The card list for Charterstone is still the all time most popular. Though the home page hits are coming up, and will probably over take it next year. The posts for games 2 & 3 of Charterstone have swapped positions from last year, but there is less than 50 pages between them. The rest of the run down is the same as last year.
