Betrayal Legacy – Game 7 Review

This is one in a series of posts regarding the board game Betrayal Legacy. You can access all my other Betrayal posts HERE. This post is a review of Game 7, which is designed to give you a feel for the game, whilst containing no spoilers. It assumes you are familiar with Betrayal at House on the Hill.

Game 7 Card

Game 7 was a normal setup, followed by the Game 6 winner drawing this card, and reading the introduction on the back. A specific Outside tile was found, and all characters were placed upon it, with the instruction that we were searching for a specific object, obviously the new Omen. A quick 25 minutes later, we had found it, and the Haunt had begun.

The Haunt

This Haunt was one of my favourites of the campaign, because it was tied to one of my favourite cards in the game. It was also another new experience, as for the first time we were all Traitors, and it was very much a last man standing situation. The specifics of the Haunt also gave some flexibility to choose which player would take the next turn, instead of us all taking a turn in a clockwise order. This resulted in a bit of back and forth, as Red & Purple players duked it out, leaving the bystanders out of it for a while. It was entertaining to watch, but the Purple player arose victorious, picked up all of the Red players Items and Omens, and was somewhat unstoppable after that.

End of Game

The Purple player did end up taking down Blue and Green as well, making this his second win of the campaign. We added the new cards to the game, including an updated version of my favourite card. I look forward to it coming out in future games.

The Fates of our Players

  • Red – Amanda Monk, 35, Traitor, Died. “Beaten to Death by a Severed Hand”
  • Green – Rusty Griswold, Now 38, Traitor, Died … and how!! “Killed by a 64 year old, with all the toys.”
  • Blue – Joe Costanza, 51, Traitor, Died. “Carked it”
