Dragonvale – Camping Event 2021 – Breeding a Chimmit Dragon

(My initial tables included some expired limited dragons. The tables and times have been fixed. The recommendations have not changed. – Shane)

The first limited has arrived.

Chimmit Dragon Announcement

Lightning + Water + Light + Dark

So, it’s an interesting combination of elements, that has 2 golden hybrids with shorter breed times than regulars. So we’ll look at both of those. First up, Flash + Abyss.

Flash + Abysss breed stats

3% breeding chance means 23 attempts for a 50/50 shot. The average fail time is 12.46 hours, which means about 12 days for that even money shot. Now Wisp + Nectar.

Wisp + Nectar breed stats

Wisp and Nectar get an extra 4% of cloning. But that doesn’t offset the 10% that Flash and Abyss lose. And it increase the chance of getting a Wraith, Ooze or Gamma. So average fail time increases to 12.78 hours, which means 12.24 days for a 50/50 shot.

So Flash + Abyss is the best option for breeding.

But, this is a dragon that shares the elements you need for breeding it. So when you attempt to clone it, you combine the breeding and cloning percentages together. The regular dragon with the shortest breed time is Flash.

Cloning a CHIMMIT Dragon

Chimmit + Flash breed stats

13% combined breeding and cloning chance means only 5 attempts are required for a 50/50 shot. 11.71 hours average fail time, is still only 2.44 days for the even money chance. Checking the cloning chance with Wisp

Chimmit + Wisp breed stats

The average fail time increase by .17 of an hour, or … 10 minutes. So the 5 attempts, would increase by less than an hour, to 2.48 days. Essentially, it makes no difference. But purely by numbers, my recommendation for obtaining the new Chimmit Dragon is

Chimmit + Flash

Best of luck.

Party, swiftgrace, and mylio are no longer available, not sure why those are included in the results.

Thanks for spotting the mistake. They appear in the results at the Sandbox, so I included them here. Will fix up the tables now.
