Continued from Wingtip – Bird Cards
There are 7 double sided Bird Cards in Wingtip, and each side has an End of Round Bonus. I collected the Bonuses from the original game, and got rid of the ones that referred to types of nests. I thought about doubling up some to get me to the 14 I needed, but instead I created some new ones that worked with the theme. The A&B at the start of each one, indicate they will be on opposite sides of the same card, to eliminate the chance of those Bonuses coming out simultaneously.
- A-Total Birds
- B-Total Birds in your habitat with the fewest birds
- A-Total Birds in the Bush Habitat
- B-Total Bush Birds with at least 1 Egg
- A-Total Birds in the Desert Habitat
- B-Total Desert Birds with at least 1 Egg
- A-Total Birds in the Water Habitat
- B-Total Water Birds with at least 1 Egg
- A-Total Birds with at least 1 Egg
- B-Total Birds with 2 Eggs
- A-Total Eggs in the Bush Habitat
- B-Total Eggs in the Desert Habitat
- A-Total Eggs in the Water Habitat
- B-Sets of Eggs (an egg in all 3 habitats)
Most of them will just be one point for each criteria, but some Bonuses will definitely be worth more. Will nail that down as I create each card. I have updated the Template, to keep all the birds with text in the top row.
“Play” Bonuses
2 birds with Play Bonuses on each side of a Bird Card, means 28 of those are needed. The following types exist in the original game:
- Draw Bonus cards
- Draw Bird cards
- Get a type of food from the birdfeeder
- Get a type of food from the supply
- Lay an egg on the birds in a certain habitat
- Play an extra bird in a certain habitat
There are 3 types of food and 3 different habitats, which means this makes 14 Bonuses. Doubling these up will make the 28 we need. I will randomise these a little, whilst ensuring we don’t have 2 food bonuses on the same side.
Now to crank out the cards.
